Red Carpet Put Out for FIFA World Football Cup at Vladivostok International Airport

Vladivostok, May 1, 2018 — The Vladivostok International Airport reports ceremonial reception of the FIFA World Football Cup. The Official Cup arrived to Vladivostok by a dedicated branded plane from Japan.

Japan is the last country along the route of the international trip of the legendary trophy. Returning of the Official Cup to Russia means that the preparatory period preceding the main football event of the planet has entered final straight.

The Official Cup came to the capital of Primorye by a branded plane accompanied by the FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura, Director General of Coca-Cola HBC Russia Stefanos Vafidis, the FIFA legend Gilberto Silva and the envoy of Rostov-on-Don, the host city for the FIFA World Football Cup 2018, Viktoria Lopyryova.

Representatives of the Primorsky Region administration, the airport and mass media welcomed the FIFA World Football Cup at the Vladivostok International Airport. The ceremony of welcoming the Cup was held on the apron of the air harbour and after that a press conference took place in the VIP hall of the airport in the course of which the distinguished guests answered numerous questions from mass media.

After the ceremonial reception at the air harbour, the Official Cup was transferred to the central square of the city where anybody who wants to will be able take to a picture with the legendary trophy. In total, the Cup will spend three days in Vladivostok.

We would like to remind that the FIFA World Football Cup is the main prize handed over to winners of the world championship but remaining in possession of the FIFA. It is made of pure gold, weighs 6.142 kg and represents a composition of two human figures holding the globe in raised hands.

Exclusively for Russia, Coca-Cola together with the FIFA and the Organising Committee of Russia-2018 have created the ever longest route of the Official Cup Tour across the country hosting the world football championship. In total, it will cover more than 27,000 km and pass through 11 time zones for 123 days.
